S.O.S. – Save Our Socks!

Has your previous darning method consisted of walking to the garbage with a pair of socks and sadly sighing “Darn!” as you drop them in? Correna will show you how to repair your precious hand knit socks to extend their lifespan, and your joy in wearing your hard work. We will learn the basics on a worsted weight knitted tube. However, if you have a hand knitted sock in need of TLC, please feel free to bring it (and appropriate repair yarn) as well. We recommend using Cascade 200 or Diamond Luxury Pure Wool Superwash for your tube. The class includes a beautiful Moosehill Woodworks darning egg! (If you already have a darning egg, you can take the class for $25)

Using 4mm – 5mm circular or double pointed needles, cast on 30 stitches. Join in the round and knit until you have a tube approximately 3 inches long. Bind off.

Please note: A minimum of three students is required for the class to proceed.
