Knitting Fixes

It happens to all of us. Dropped stitches, extra stitches and all those pesky knitting “character building” experiences. In this 2 hour workshop, Dotty will show you how to fix some of the more common knitting mistakes. She’ll show you how to do the following:

  • Frog 
  • Tink
  • Ladder down and back up

Students will need to bring one stockinette swatch to class. Instructions are below:

Swatch Instructions

Cast on 20 stitches

Row 1: knit all stitches

Row 2: purl all stitches

Repeat Rows 1 & 2 9 more times (total 20 rows)

Leave swatch on needle, do not cut working yarn

Please Note: A minimum of 3 students is required in order for the class to proceed. 

Stuff You Need

  • 2 removable stitch markers
  • 5mm (US 8) needles (pair of straights/dpns or one circ)
  • Notebook & pen or pencil
  • One stockinette swatch as per instructions
  • Optional  4mm crochet hook and/or 4mm needle
  • Smooth light coloured worsted weight yarn
