K201 – Double Knitting

Double knitting is one of the magical techniques of the knitting world. You knit the inside and outside of the fabric at the same time, creating an item that is completely reversible. Please note, a minimum of 3 students is required for the class to proceed. 

Stuff You Need

  • 2 colours of worsted weight yarn approx. 200 metres per colour

  • Two 3.75 mm (US 5) 24” - 32” circular needles (second needle will be required for binding off)

Intermediate Knitting

Ability to knit a variety of stitches, such as basic cables and lace, simple intarsia, use double-pointed needles and knitting in the round needle techniques, mid-level shaping and finishing.
