Finishing Your Knits

In this class, Dotty will teach you the skills required to take your knitting from the needles to a fully realised finished object. You’ll learn the following:

  • how to weave in ends
  • the kitchener stitch
  • sewn bind off
  • 3 needle bind off

Students will need to bring 7 knitted stockinette swatches to class. We recommend using a light coloured, smooth worsted weight yarn. Swatch instructions are as follows:

Cast on 20 stitches

Row 1: knit all stitches

Row 2: purl all stitches

Repeat Rows 1 & 2 a total of 9 more times (total 20 rows of stockinette)

Cut yarn leaving a 1m tail

Place each swatch on a stitch holder or scrap yarn.
