A special finished object…

Have you ever knitted a project and realised that it’s meant for someone else? This happened to Annie recently. She knitted this hat with Jamieson & Smith 2 Ply Jumper weight, and it turned out she’d knitted a hat for Monique. Doesn’t it look great on her?

This lovely pattern is called Harriet’s Hat, and it’s a special pattern. Harriet Middleton is a knitter who lives on the Shetland Islands. Currently, residents who are in need of MRI scans have to fly or travel by boat to Aberdeen or Glasgow for any required scans. Harriet required regular MRI’s after her cancer treatment, so she decided to help out. If you would like to knit Harriet’s Hat, her beautiful hat pattern is available here https://mrimaakers.com/harriets-hat/ for just £4 and all proceeds go to the https://shetlandmriscannerappeal.com  Check out her video (which also features some super speedy knitting.)
