New stuff for a Monday

This is Zen Yarn Garden Serenity Worsted. It comes in 175 yard/100 gram skeins, and it is lovely. So lovely that we decided to make it the prize in the Manitoba segment of our Canada Knit-a-long. We hope that our winner, Jean will enjoy it! It will also qualify for use in the Ontario part of the KAL!

We also have some new Knitter’s Pride Knit Blockers, perfect for blocking any project to give it that final polished look.

Our first book club meeting was a great success! We read Diana Gabaldon’s “Outlander” and had a lively discussion of the book, and the tv series.  Snacks, treats, member stitch markers and a draw for striping sock yarn rounded out the night.
February will be a fun month.  We are reading “The Lace Reader” by Brunonia Barry and we will have two more spots available in our group for a total of 10 participants. Please join us on Feb. 23 for a fun evening knitting and talking about our new book selection. Call the store at 403-457-3020 to sign up!
Finally, I am lost! Someone forgot me at the store. If I belong to you, the Loopies are looking after me, but I would love to come home.

A friendly little local yarn store on Kensington Road in NW Calgary. We are located on the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, and the people of the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, who also make their homes on this land. Masks are currently mandatory in all indoor public spaces. If you forgot yours, please let us know and we’ll get you one. If shopping in person isn’t for you yet, we are happy to help you out with a phone order. Just give us a call at 403-457-3020. We can ship your order, and our curbside pick up option is still available.
