Unfortunately we have to start this post with some sad news. Diana is moving on to a full time job, which means she is leaving us. She has been here since the early days of The Loop, and it has been a joy watching her progress into an amazing crochet artist and teacher.  She will be dearly missed (especially by her mother, who loved being able to drop in to the store to see her).  Happily, Diana will still be teaching when her schedule allows.  Please drop in over the weekend to say goodbye to her! We wish her all the best in her new position!

Meanwhile, in the happy news department:

We are the first Canadian store to carry Yarn Pop bags!  We have two types.  First, a zippered, lined, canvas project bag in fun, summery patterns.

Second, the coolest ‘mini commuter’, which opens to fit a chart, your iPad mini, or kindle. On the other side are spaces to store your interchangeable needles, dpns, or even circular needles.

We have more boxes! Yay!

Luckily they are full of lovely yarn. It’s not the prettiest picture right now, but try to imagine what this will look like next week!  This is all (yes.. all) Malabrigo. Rios, Mecha and Arroyo.  We kid you not.

This one? Well…

This one is full of  SweetGeorgia fibre of all types! (Sarah Anderson… hurry home!!)

Finally, we had so much fun at the Fluevog knitting event last night.  SO MUCH FUN!  Shoes and socks definitely go together. During the event, we launched Two Birds Knitting Co.’s limited edition sock kit “Flue By Ewe” modelled below by Ann Bridgman.

You’ll LOVE the yarn, you’ll love the pattern, and be down right tickled with a couple of surprises we have tucked inside.

Pre-orders commence immediately, or you could roll the dice and wait until the kits arrive. Once they are gone, they are gone, so contact The Loop and order yours!
