New stuff for a new month!

It’s a new week, and a new month, so we thought it would be the perfect time to introduce our new feature!

Introducing Ask DR MAC!

Among the staff here at The Loop, there is an abundance of fibre knowledge and lots of experience. We know that there are questions that you have about yarns, techniques, and fibre in general and we love to share our knowledge with you. Here’s how it works, you email us your questions and every week, we’ll post an answer to one. It might be a post about a yarn, a project or even a video about a technique or a fibre related suggestion . So go ahead and send your questions to us at and let’s get the party started.

In this week’s Ask DR MAC, we offer you a fibre lifehack. Use a bright, knitted tube to tame those wild computer cords!

But wait! There’s more!

We’re having a yarn tasting! While supplies last, grab yourself a 10 gram skein of Manos Clara to try!

A friendly little local yarn store on Kensington Road in NW Calgary. We are located on the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, and the people of the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, who also make their homes on this land. Masks are currently mandatory in all indoor public spaces. If you forgot yours, please let us know and we’ll get you one. If shopping in person isn’t for you yet, we are happy to help you out with a phone order. Just give us a call at 403-457-3020. We can ship your order, and our curbside pick up option is still available.
